Notorious Ecological Restoration Discussion (NERD)

Restoration and Climate Change:  How Resilient is Your Ecosystem?

​

Join us for this year's Sunday morning NERD where we will discuss the journal article 'Rapid Recovery of Damaged Ecosystems' by Holly P. Jones and Oswald J. Schmitz. School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Yale University, New Haven, CT.

​

Participants will reflect on, and share observtaions and/or data on teh resiliency of their ecosystem in the face of perturbations caused by climate change.  We will analyze the article from a macro perspective and then break into discussion groups by ecosystem type - wetlands, woodlands, and uplands - to further analyze the issues by ecosystem type.
